There are two reasons for this. First, the increase in the number of part-time workers leads to a declining birthrate. Part-time workers with low and unstable incomes are less likely to give birth, exacerbating the aging of Japanese society. Second, lower disposable incomes will undermine domestic consumption in Japan. Financially unstable part-timers will not be able to obtain loans from banks large enough to make major purchases, such as a house or a car, thus depressing the Japanese economy.
